Initiation of an Anti-Dumping Investigation on Imports of Cold-Rolled Steel by México

 

On February 16, 2026, the Government of México initiated an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled steel, whether alloyed or non-alloyed, not plated or coated, with a thickness of less than 4.75 millimeters, regardless of width (including widths less than, equal to, or greater than 600 mm) originating from Malaysia, China, and the United States.

The products are classified under Mexico’s Tariff Schedule of the General Import and Export (TIGIE) tariff codes 7209.15.04, 7209.16.01, 7209.17.01, 7209.18.01, 7209.25.01, 7209.26.01, 7209.27.01, 7209.28.01, 7209.90.99, 7211.23.03, 7211.29.99, 7211.90.99, 7225.50.91, and 7226.92.06.

The period for the investigation is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, while the period of injury analysis extends from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2025.
